Lean Kanban University is introducing a new entry level Kanban class for Team Kanban together with a certification and professional credential, TKP, Team Kanban Practitioner. This new class becomes the entry level on the "alternative path to agility" and reflects the market reality that most Kanban starts shallow and at the team level.

AKT Credential Now Available to Corporate Trainers

Lean Kanban University, Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT) credentials are available to internal corporate trainers as well as trainers from independent training firms. There is a class of LKU membership called Internal-Corporate AKT. Such trainers are able to teach certified Kanban training classes internally at their firms and issue Lean Kanban University certificates to attendees.

When we announced the Accredited Kanban Training program in Lean Kanban University in February some people initially believed we were announcing a certification scheme for individuals taking Kanban training. We were not! Instead we were introducing standards into Kanban training by introducing a defined curriculum and accredited training material against that curriculum. We were also providing a professional designation of Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT) to those individuals that we believed to be qualified to teach the curriculum adequately. We were “certifying” trainers.
